Error: Object required on line 165 occurs exporting to Word or Excel.

Issue Description

While attempting to export to Word or Excel, the error message:

Error: Object required on line 165

is displayed before the Dialog Window asking for the Document Format.

This problem can occur if Internet Explorer does not correctly process the Content-Disposition header and the data that this header is defining.

This problem is a known issue related to multiple versions of Internet Explorer as discussed in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article number 281679.

Solution

This problem will likely be resolved by re-installing Internet Explorer.
