Error when opening Forms Printer Setup, when using Outlook 2016

Issue Description

When using Outlook 2016, and attempting to open the Forms Printer Setup window, you may recieve the error message:

Error:  The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.

 

Solution

The fix is to unregister the asimail.dll file found in the Dynamics GP folder, from a "run as administrator" command line.

 

Execute the following command in the GP folder:

regsvr32.exe /u ./asimail.dll

 

You will likely get another instance of the error dialog, before getting the "dll unregistered successfully" dialog.

After restarting GP, you should now be able to open the Forms Printer Setup window without error.
